EPN travels to Paris to participate in COP 21

Peña Nieto will be present at the opening of the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference.

Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto is traveling to Paris to participate Monday in the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference. He will return to Mexico the next day.

This will be the third visit of Peña Nieto to France since he was elected in July 2012.

The inauguration of the COP 21 will also count with the presence of French President Francois Hollande and the secretary-general of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon.

There, according to the official agenda of the President of Mexico, "there will be a solemn ceremony with a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the attacks in France".

Other participants in the summit are presidents Barack Obama, Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin, and another 12 speakers. Peña Nieto will be the first speaker at the second meeting, followed by Turkish Reccep Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Philippines' Benigno Aquino III, and others.
