According to the report of the National Center for Disaster Prevention (Cenapred), the monitoring system of Popocatépetl volcano registered 44 low-intensity exhalations and 11 explosions during the last 24 hours.
Continuous emissions of steam and gas were observed until 21:00 pm.
During the night incandescence above the crater was also observed.
Cenapred urges people not to go near the volcano, due to the hazard caused by ballistic fragments.
