Members of “En Familia con Chabelo” production informed on Sunday that the show, which has been on air for 47 years, will end next month.
"As far as I know, the show is not ending, but I work in a company in which they (the top executives) can make any change they want” TV host Xavier López "Chabelo" said in an interview with Adela Micha.
“I think there is nothing official yet” Chabelo said.
"Chabelo keeps me alive," said the TV host talking about the character that has kept him for almost five decades in the Mexican television.
The TV show “En Familia con Chabelo” is broadcast every Sunday morning on Televisa's El Canal de las Estrellas. The show consists of contests with people from the audience, gifts and games and is mainly for children.
Xavier López will offer a press conference on Wednesday to provide further details on the information released on Sunday.
