Prostitution victims rescued in Mexico City

A group of 17 women were released from sexual exploitation in the midtown area.

The Office of the Attorney General of Mexico City and the Federal Police reported the rescue of 17 women forced to provide sexual services in the Centro neighborhood of the district of Cuauhtémoc.

Juana Camila Bautista, head of the offices of the Attention of the Crime of People Trafficking, expressed that the authorities arrested the owner of the bar where the women were forced to work, Ricardo Reynoso Ramírez, as well as his employees Miguel Hernández Suárez, Marcelo Domínguez Guevara and Flor María Herbert Luna.

According to her report, the victims were recruited as dancers, but they also encouraged their costumers to consume alcoholic beverages, and charged them for exotic dances and sex.
