The Mayor of Mexico City, Miguel Ángel Mancera, met with members of the team of the Vice-President of the United States, Joe Biden, in the White House.
Among the topics discussed, they spoke about the path to follow after the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP21) and the concerns of local governments on the access to the so-called green funds for international cities.
At the meeting, which was also attended by mayors of various countries, Mancera was accompanied by the head of the Department of the Environment, Tanya Muller.
On behalf of the administration of President Barack Obama attended Paul Bodnar, Senior Director for Energy and Climate Change; Rohan Patel, Deputy Director of Intergovernmental Affairs at The White House and Alice Hill, Senior Advisor for Preparedness and Resilience, all of them from the National Security Council.
