British Nico Rosberg set the fastest time in the second practising run previous to the Grand Prix of Mexico, with 1:21 on his best lap on board his Mercedes.

Rosberg ended above Russian Daniil Kvyat (Red Bull) for 0.245 seconds, and Australian Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull), for .337 seconds. Sergio Pérez (Force India) ended on the 15 place.

The wet pavement and slippery conditions caused some drivers to lose control of their cars, like Dutch Max Verstappen (Toro Rosso), Finnish Valterri Bottas (Giorgio Mondini) and French Romain Grosjean (Lotus).
