President of Cruz Azul Guillermo Álvarez officially presented Tomás Boy as the new coach of the soccer club.

"It's hard to speak of the first places, but the commitment is to make a better team" Álvarez said.

Tomás Boy played with the Mexico national soccer team between 1979 and 1987, appearing as captain in the 1986 FIFA World Cup.

Since retiring, he has coached seven different teams in the First Division.
