A 75-year-old woman could have poisoned 19 dogs in Condesa neighborhood, people close to the investigation revealed.
Based on videos provided by neighbors and owners of businesses in the area, the investigation of the Office of Environmental Crimes and Urban Protection revealed that the woman put dog food mixed with poison on Ozuluama street.
After doing an autopsy on three of the dogs that died between September 29 and October 2, 2015, the Veterinary School of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) concluded that they were killed with zinc phosphide, a rat poison that is difficult to get.
Last Thursday new poisoned bait was found at Parque México. Yesterday pet owners demonstrated at the park to demand an immediate solution.
