Hundreds of zombies took the surrounding areas of the Monument of the Revolution in Mexico City, with some identified as doctors, luchadores, nurses, serial killers, and even princesses.

And in a show of inter-species harmony, some werewolves were seen, even if there was no moon.

Starting 2:00 p.m., the reanimated bodies began to spread through downtown Mexico City, for the "Zombie March," the local version of the international festivity known as the "Zombie Walk."

Hundreds of living people took the chance to take pictures and even some selfies with the zombies, who showed great restraint and tried not to eat them.

The organizers of the march pointed out that even when main Reforma avenue was closed, quite unexpectedly for some people who found themselves face to face with the undead, most of the living had fun during the march.
