The Mexican team advanced to the second round and ended up as leader of Group C of the FIFA Under 17 World Cup, after defeating the favorite, Germany, by a score of 2-1, in the Fiscal stadium.
In less than ten minutes the Mexicans scored twice, with Pablo López on the 59, and Francisco Venegas on the 65, while Johannes Eggestein scored for the Germans on the 68.
The team coached by Mario Arteaga ended as leader of Group C with seven points, and it is still waiting for a rival for the second round, while Germany, which ended with six points, will face Croatia.
