According to the National Center for Disaster Prevention (Cenapred) the monitoring system of Popocatépetl volcano registered 51 low-intensity exhalations during the last 24 hours.
Two explosions were also recorded.
A weak steam and gas emission as well as slight incandescence over the crater were also observed at night.
