Chivas Guadalajara is beginning to disappoint fans again and the tie with a score of 1-1 against Puebla is just another sad occasion to do so.
It all came from a mistake by Raúl López in the Omnilife stadium of Guadalajara.
In any case, and even when the visitor wasn't that really better for a wide margin, Puebla had the control of the ball for most of the game.
In any case, and perhaps because the two teams were pretty much bad, the ball ended at the feet of Marco Fabián, who sent a shot to the goal line defended by Cristian Campestrini, who hardly touches it and is unable to keep it from hitting the net, 30 minutes into the game.
And it seemed that Chivas had everything under control from there on. Raúl "Dedos" López tries another shot, but leaves the ball at the feet of Carlos Gutiérrez on the 45. Goalie Antonio Rodríguez is nervous and creates an opening for the goal.
Things remain pretty much the same from there on. Chivas scares Puebla, the Franja scares Guadalajara. But their deficiencies more than their talents keep the players from scoring the second goal and define the game. Thus, the referee calls for compensation time.
And while things do not improve for either team, Puebla remains undefeated in the Omnilife, while Guadalajara ends with a tie in a game that it had to win, as a compromise to fans and the players themselves.
Chivas is losing momentum, and now has to reconsider things before the quarterfinals game against Veracruz in the Copa MX and the Jalisco Classic against Atlas.
