According to the National Center for Disaster Prevention (Cenapred), the monitoring system of Popocatépetl volcano registered 15 low-intensity exhalations and one explosion in the last 24 hours.
Two volcano-tectonic earthquakes with magnitudes of 2.4 and 2.2 respectively were also recorded.
Incandescence over the crater was observed at night.
Emissions of steam and gas west northwesterly were observed in the morning.
