Felipe de Jesús Valencia Múgica, former leader of the self-defense forces of Páztcuaro, was arrested over the kidnapping of an avocado producer.
Six of his accomplices were also arrested: Margarito C., Miguel Ángel U., Gustavo G., Diego C, Hugo H. and José Hazael V.
During the operation, authorities seized 100,000 pesos (US$6,111) in cash, two cars and one Pick-up truck.
