The Fourth Appellate Court of Jalisco gave Angélica Fuentes control of Grupo Chivas starting this week.
According to information obtained by Ciro Gómez Leyva, who revealed the documents on his radio show, Fuentes will have plenipotentiary power over the soccer team after paying a million pesos (US$60,320).
The ruling was announced after Jorge Vergara failed to appear before court to request to invalidate the previous meetings, including the one held on February 6, 2015 when Fuentes was named administrator of Grupo Chivas.
Vergara's wife can take control of Chivas even from abroad, and the resolution is final.
On October 13, a judge in Jalisco issued an arrest warrant against Fuentes, who seeks to own 50% of Chivas and Omnilife. However, the state's judiciary power suspended the judge who made that ruling.
