The National Migration Institute (INM), working in coordination with the Federal Police rescued 114 foreigners who were locked up for more than 48 hours inside a trailer in overcrowded conditions.

In a statement, the INM reported that federal agents conducting a road control detected a trailer in the area of Tultitlán, State of Mexico, where they found the migrants coming from Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Ecuador and Nepal.

Among them, the authorities found 28 minors and they all had symptoms of disorientation and dehydration, after two days with no food or water.

In addition, a Salvadoran ended with an arm injury due to the bad condition of the trailer.

The vehicle was driven by two suspected smugglers, while the migrants were taken to the INM facilities in Saltillo, Coahuila, where they received food and care while their repatriation is arranged.
