César Camacho, coordinator of deputies of the ruling Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), said that his fellow party members will use their own car and mobile phone instead of the ones paid by the Chamber of Deputies.

This will enable us “to save more than ten million pesos (US$594,272) per year, i.e. 30 million pesos (US$1.78 million) in total," he said.

The deputies of the Citizens Movement (Movimiento Ciudadano) also gave up their private medical insurance to cut expenses.
