Rain warning for hurricane Linda in Mexico

The National Water Commission reported that hurricane "Linda," currently a category three phenomenon in the Saffir-Simpson scale, will cause intense electric storms in the states of Baja California Sur, Sonora and Sinaloa, as well as strong rains in Baja California, Nayarit, Jalisco, and Colima.

According to information from the National Weather Service, intense rains are expected in the central and western areas of Oaxaca and the northern and central areas of Chiapas. Very strong rains are expected in the west of the State of Mexico and Durango, as well as the south and east of Puebla, the west and south of Chihuahua, and the south of Tabasco.

Also, intense rains are expected over Michoacán, Guerrero, Morelos, Mexico City, and Veracruz, as well as moderate rains in Zacatecas, Aguascalientes, Guanajuato, Querétaro, Hidalgo, Tlaxcala, Coahuila, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosí, Campeche, Yucatán, and Quintana Roo. Electric storms, hail and strong winds could accompany the rains.
