'Marty' leaves floods and mudslides in Guerrero

Two people injured were reported.

The rains generated by tropical storm Marty left two people injured, 10 roads blocked by landslides, three collapsed fences, floods and fallen trees, according to the Department of Civil Protection of Guerrero.

The municipal Civil Protection agencies reported that officers from the Navy and Army arrived at the town of Coyuca de Benítez, in response to the flooding of the communities close to the Coyuca lagoon.

The authorities are assessing the damage in the flooded residences in the towns of Embarcadero, San Nicolás, La Barra, El Veladero, Playa Azul, Los Mogotes, Estación y Luces del Mar.

Also, the authorities reported that two people in Coyuca de Benítez and Acapulco were injured.

According to the report, 27-year-old Amir Memije Ramírez was on board a cab in El Cerrito, Coyuca de Benítez, when a tree fell over the vehicle.

Also, three roads were blocked by landslides in Chilpancingo, one in Malinaltepec, one in Copanatoyac, Atlixtac, Huamuxtitlán, Iliatenco, Asunción Tlacoapa, and in Acapulco.
