The Council of Representatives of the National Minimum Wage Commission (Conasami) agreed to standardize A and B economic zones and set the general minimum wage throughout the country at 70.10 (US$4.1) per day.

At a press conference at the headquarters of the Ministry of Labor, the representatives of the Council said that the decision will help compensate the drop in the purchasing power of Mexicans.
