At least 25,000 people took on main Reforma avenue for a protest and march to mark one year after the disappearance of 43 students from the teachers school in Ayotzinapa, supposedly at the hands of criminals in the city of Iguala,

Meanwhile, the parents of the students have arrived at the Zócalo, the central square in Mexico City, to hold a protest.

Even the rain was unable to stop the march, closely watched by the government of Mexico City. The vehicular traffic over Reforma has been deviated and the traffic is in chaos in the midtown area.
