Morena legislators give up their private medical insurance

The decision will enable the Congress save around US$9.32 million.

The 35 federal deputies of the National Regeneration Movement (Morena) gave up their private medical insurance and will get health coverage from the Social Security Institute for State Workers (ISSSTE).

The decision will enable the Congress save around 160 million pesos (US$9.32 million).

Rocio Nahle, coordinator of the legislators, asked the Congress to use the money for Mexico's health sector.
