More than 1,053 cases of chikungunya in Michoacán

The authorities of the state of Michoacán report a total of 1,053 cases of chikungunya between September 13 to 19, according to the Office of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine of the State Department of Health.

That represents an increase of 84 cases in comparison to the previous week, according to Fabio Silahua Silva, head of the Epidemiology office.

Silahua Silva also reported 961 cases of dengue, a significant increase of 116 cases in the last few days, and 10 of hemorrhagic dengue fever.
