President Enrique Peña Nieto met in private with the relatives of the Mexicans who died during an attack executed by Egyptian forces against tourists last Sunday.
The meeting took place in the presidential residence of Los Pinos, after six compatriots injured during the incident arrived in Mexico City accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Claudia Ruiz Massieu.
The President reiterated his condolences and the determination of his government to provide all the support and consular, legal and administrative assistance needed in the process of repatriation of their deceased relatives.
In addition, he told them that his government has demanded Egypt to fully guarantee a reparation for the damage inflicted on them according to the applicable international standards.
