Three killed by hailstorm in the State of Mexico

The massive storm Sunday in the Valley of Mexico caused the death of a 45-year-old man who was dragged by the water in the community of Santo Tomás Chiconautla in Ecatepec, while other two died in the municipality of Coacalco.

The municipality of Ecatepec reported the discovery of a man's body in the Avenida de Las Torres on the corner with Pichardo Pagaza street, after receiving the report from neighbors in the area. Apparently, the victim died drowned.

In Coacalco, two people lost their lives this afternoon when they were swept by the water falling from the Sierra de Guadalupe mountains.

One of the victims is a man of about 70 years of age who was a vendor in a street market in the Villas de Manzanas neighborhood. He remains unidentified.

The water also dragged vehicles and streetlights.

In the municipality of Coacalco, over main Via López Portillo avenue, a woman was dragged by the water and died.

The hailstorm also caused damage in Naucalpan, Tultitlán, Coacalco, Ecatepec and Acolman during the evening and night.
