The National Institute of Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data (INAI) determined that the Attorney General's Office (PGR) must provide statistical information on the investigations carried out for the crime of enforced disappearance from 1960 to February 2015.
The PGR must also inform about the number of preliminary investigations, the number of cases that ended in an indictment and those that were dropped, the number of victims in each case, the gender of the victims, the names of the federal, state or municipal agencies for which the officials under investigation worked and the states where the cases occurred.
The original request was made by a citizen. However, the information provided by the PGR, was incomplete, so he filed a complaint at the INAI, that validated his request.
