Martín Díaz Álvarez, the second largest shareholder and former financial director of Oceanografía, was released on bail by an immigration judge, said the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
"In accordance with the judge's order, ICE continues to monitor Mr. Díaz Álvarez through the detention program while his case proceeds in immigration court," said the source in a statement sent to Notimex.
Díaz Álvarez, 52, was held at the immigration detention center Krome, in Miami, since his arrest on August 12.
The Attorney General's Office of Mexico (PGR) maintains communication with U.S. authorities to send Díaz Álvarez to Mexico.
In 2013 Oceanografia obtained almost 500 million dollars in loans from Banamex providing false documents about future payments from Petroleos Mexicanos.
