The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) has launched an inquiry on the death of two of the five suspected kidnappers reportedly killed on August 14 in a clash in Tabasco, in what it is assumed as an extrajudicial execution by police officers.

The investigation was announced by the Attorney General of the State, Fernando Valenzuela Pernas, who said that it will have the participation of the Offices of the Attorney General (PGR) and the Attorney Generals of Campeche and Tabasco.

Valenzuela said the investigations started since the pictures of waiter Daniel Tadeo de la Cruz Martínez and dancer Sagrario Negrete Marín, first under arrest and then dead, began to circulate on media and social networks.
