The promotional activities prior to the return of Grand Prix Formula One to Mexico will continue tomorrow on main Paseo de la Reforma avenue, with the presentation of the Ferrari Street Demo.
Esteban Gutiérrez, test pilot for Ferrari, and Ricardo Pérez de Lara, world champion of the Ferrari Challenge 458 with the team Telcel-Benotto-Rissi, will be the protagonists of the event which will begin at 10:00 a.m.
"Guti" will be responsible for driving the Ferrari F60, a car used by the F1 racing team in 2009. The car has a thunderous engine and a carbon fiber chassis that in total weighs only some 1,300 pounds.
"I'm anxious to test my skills and give a demo to all the unforgettable Mexican fans over a so important and beautiful avenue as is the Paseo de la Reforma in Mexico City. I am sure that the F60 will roar and will cause those who listen to tremble," said "Guti".
Pérez will demonstrate his skills at the wheel with a Ferrari 458 Challenge EVO, and a weight of 2.7 tons.
Ricardo started his career in the late 90's and has three titles in the Super Cup Telcel and a couple more aboard cars of Formula 2 and Formula 3 in championships endorsed by International Motorsports Federation.
"I have no doubt that it will be something wonderful to be able to demonstrate my skills in front of my people and on such symbolic avenue," said Pérez of Lara. "I think that the Mexican public is different from other parts of the world, they show you their passion and energy in each moment," he concluded.
