According to the National Center for Disaster Prevention (Cenapred) during the last 24 hours, the monitoring system of Popocatépetl volcano has registered 72 low-intensity exhalations, some of them accompanied by steam, gas and ash. Ten explosions were also recorded.
Incandescence was observed over the crater at night followed by some exhalations.
This morning emissions of steam, gas and occasionally ash in a southeasterly direction were observed.
