Mireles could be released in some 20 days

José Manuel Mireles Valverde, currently in the federal prison Cefereso 11, could be released in four to 20 days, according to lawyer Javier Alfredo Livas Cantú.

He added, without providing details that independent governor-elect of Nuevo León, Jaime Rodríguez "El Bronco" has plans for the self-defense leader.

Interviewed in the airport before his return to Nuevo León, after visiting Hermosilo, to inform his client about the decision of the Office of the Attorney General (PGR) to not purse and objection to the appeal conceded by a judge in Michoacán, he said that he is very happy for the current situation.

He added that it is a joint effort by the previous lawyers of Mireles, Talía Vázquez Alatorre and Salvador Molina, who presented the appeal.

He added that the decision of Attorney General Arely Gómez is all fair according to the law.

Mireles and his three bodyguards were arrested for possession of military-grade weapons and drugs.
