Rubén Oseguera González, known as "El Menchito," was put under 40 days of preventive prison per request of the Office of the Attorney General (PGR), in order to allow it to gather more evidence against him in relation to the disappearance of two people in Michoacán.
"The request is derived from the research carried out by the Unit Specialized in the Investigation of Crimes of Kidnapping of the Assistant Attorney General's Office for Special Investigations on Organized Crime (SEIDO)," according to the PGR.
Oseguera González holds dual U.S.-Mexican citizenship.
