During the last 24 hours the seismic records of the surveillance system of Popocatepetl volcano registered 76 low-intensity exhalations, some of them accompanied by steam, gas and ash.
The most important were registered yesterday at 2:29 p.m., 4:51 p.m., 10:42 p.m., and today at 7:30 a.m.
At the time of this report, the weather conditions don't allow for any direct observations of the volcano.
The National Disaster Prevention Center is warning people against going near the volcano, especially near the crater, due to the hazard caused by ballistic fragments of molten rock.
