Silvano Aureoles keeps the lead in Michoacán

The candidate of the PRD-PT-Panal received more than half a million votes.

Silvano Aureoles, the candidate of the leftist alliance of the Democratic Revolution, Labor and New Alliance parties, is the virtual governor elected of the state of Michoacán, after the tally of the votes of Sunday's elections ended.

According to the results, Aureoles received 36.06% of the total number of votes, equivalent to 530,950.

Ascensión Orihuela, from the ruling Institutional Revolutionary and Green parties alliance, received 27.85% of the votes, for a total of 410,115.
