There are no casualties or damage after the 5-magnitude quake that hit Oaxaca at 5:31 Thursday morning, the state government reported.
In a statement, the government said that the epicenter of the quake was 22 kilometers south of Pinotepa Nacional in the Coast region.
It also said that the quake was felt in the coastal strip of the entity and in the region of the Central Valley.
General director of the State Institute of Civil Protection (IEPC), Felipe Reyna Romero, reported that protocols in these regions were activated.
