Government will not negotiate with teachers until they return to classes

Around 900 teachers are camping around the Revolution Monument to protest over the evaluations planned by the government.

Luis Enrique Miranda Nava, deputy Minister of Interior, said that the government will not negotiate with dissident teachers until they return to classes.

Yesterday around 5,500 of them marched to press authorities for dialogue.

According to the National Coordination of Education Workers (CNTE)  900 teachers are already camping around the Revolution Monument to protest over the evaluations planned by the government and thousands more are expected to join them.

At noon the teachers marched from the Revolution monument to the Angel of Independence affecting circulation on Reforma and Insurgentes.
