A sun halo was visible in Xalapa and other cities of Veracruz from 9:45 to 11:00 hrs., the state Civil Protection Ministry informed.
The optical phenomenon is produced by light interacting with ice crystals suspended in the atmosphere, resulting in a wide variety of colored or white rings, arcs and spots in the sky.
The halo was also seen in Tlaxcala.
