The education authorities in the state of Michoacán decided to suspend school in the municipalities of Tanhuato and Ecuandureo, after the clash that left 42 presumed criminals killed and the subsequent security patrols in the area.
In an interview, governor Salvador Jara Guerrero asserted that the measure was taken due to the security patrols in the area, where the federal forces faced the supposed criminals last Friday.
Once the patrols conclude, children will return to school, perhaps next Wednesday.
