Art Basel, considerada la feria de arte con mayor prestigio en el mundo, anunció la lista de expositores que tomarán parte en su versión de Miami Beach entre el 3 y el 6 de diciembre. Cinco galerías seleccionadas son mexicanas.
Cuatro de las participantes nacionales provienen de la ciudad de México, mientras que una, Travesía Cuatro, proviene de Guadalajara y tiene una sede en Madrid.
Las galerías kurimanzutto y OMR, asiduas del encuentro, tomarán parte de la exhibición general, mientras que LABOR y Travesía Cuatro, se ubicarán en la sala Nova con la obra de Nicholas Mangan y Asunción Molinos Gordo, respectivamente; Arredondo \ Arozarena, en la sala de Positions, expondrá la propuesta de Fritzia Irizar.
A la Florida llegarán 267 galerías provenientes de 32 países que se instalarán en el Centro de Convenciones de Miami. Serán 29 promotoras las que expongan por primera vez. Ante tal oferta se darán cita alrededor de 73 mil visitantes, entre artistas, coleccionistas, curadores y entusiastas de la creación, provenientes de todo el orbe.
La edición 2015 del encuentro artístico, bastión del mercado mundial del arte, estrenará director para la región de América en la persona de Noah Horowitz, quien asumió el cargo en agosto pasado. Este nombramiento obedece al énfasis que Art Basel quiere darle al arte de este hemisferio.
